Prince Harry and girlfriend split
Prince Harry and his girlfriend have reportedly split. London newspapers are saying he and Chelsy Davy are calling it quits after more than 3 years. Some papers say she was growing tired of his playboy lifestyle. Other reports say she just needed space. A friend of Davy's says he missed her birthday to watch a rugby tournament.
Several Broadway theaters are dark today as a result of a stagehand strike. More than two dozen New York productions were shut down over the weekend...including Hairspray and Wicked. Stagehands are in a bitter dispute with theater owners and producers, apparently over recent job and wage cuts. So far negotiations have ended poorly and there's no word on plans for future talks.
The View" host Elizabeth Hasselbeck has welcomed baby number 2. She and her NFL quarterback husband are the parents of a healthy baby boy. He was born Friday morning at an Arizona hospital. Hasselbeck plans to call into the ABC show today to announce the new baby's name. This is the second child for the couple. They have a two year old daughter Grace.
Jerry Seinfeld's "Bee Movie" was quite the buzz at U.S. Box offices over the weekend. It grabbed the number one spot, bringing in about 26 million dollars in ticket sales. That pushed Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe's "American Gangster" to the second spot. In third was the new Christmas comedy starring Vince Vaughn and Paul Giammati. That's all according to box office mojo.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie traveled to London over the weekend for the European premiere of "Beowulf." Jolie plays the mother of the beast Grendel in the film. She and Pitt joined Anthony Hopkins on the red carpet, he also co-stars in the release. Crispin Glover attended the event too...he plays Grendel. "Beowulf" first hits U.S. theaters this Friday.
