Mary-Kate Olsen hospitalized for kidney infection.

Mary-Kate Olsen is in the hospital recovering from a kidney infection. The actress apparently went to a New York emergency room yesterday. Her rep says Olsen is resting right now and should leave the hospital in the next couple days. The actress is known for her childhood role on "Full House." She's recently joined the cast of "Weeds."

Jonathan Rhys Meyers is facing charges for public drunkeness. The actor was reportedly intoxicated at the Dublin airport on Sunday, while attempting to fly to London. There are no details on what Rhys Meyers was doing but an airport rep did confirm a passenger was escorted out of the terminal by security and not allowed on the flight. The actor, known for his roles in "Match Point" and "The Tudors" spent time in rehab earlier this year.

George Clooney is donating some of his money to help writers on strike. The actor reportedly donated 25,000 dollars to the Actors Fund. That organization helps workers in the film and TV industry who are in crisis. The money will reportedly go to writers who've lost money during the WGA strike. Clooney is encouraging other actors to follow his lead in donating money to the fund.

Celebrities gathered in New York last night to help children in need. Big stars like Jon Voight and James Gandolfini were among the guests attending the Children of Heart gala in New York. That event raises money for the children of Chernobyl organization...helping kids who have suffered radioactive damage. Others like actor Michael Knight and Judge Judy were also there to show support.

New York's Mayor showed up for the premiere of a new Walt Disney fantasy film yesterday. Mayor Michael Bloomberg and his girlfriend Diana Taylor attended the screening of "Enchanted" in New York. He joined the film's stars Patrick Dempsey and Amy Adams on the red carpet. The movie's about a fairy princess who finds herself in modern day life. It also stars James Marsden and Susan Surandon. "Enchanted" hits most U.S. theaters tomorrow.
