Obama Sand Sculpture Battles Weather Outside DNC / Obama Merchandise On Sale at DNC In Charlotte / President Obama Visits Colorado Restaurant

A giant sand sculpture of President Obama is appearing near the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina. Rainy weather made repairs necessary. The Myrtle Beach, South Carolina visitor's bureau commissioned the sculpture.

Delegates have begun arriving for the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, NC. At the Time Warner Cable Arena, delegates and others have begun buying Obama merchandise, including humorous Obama pins, T-shirts, and jewelry.

President Barack Obama has made an appearance in "The Buff" -- a restaurant near the University of Colorado in Boulder. The president is making a campaign speech at the school Sunday.
