Star Power Makes BET Awards Shine / Awkward Moment At The 2011 BET Awards

Alicia Keys, Cee Lo Green, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj were among the stars attending BET Awards in Los Angeles, where Chris Brown was the night's biggest winner.



Chris Brown won 4 honors at Sunday's BET Awards, but there was an awkward moment of the night when BET fan Tiffany Greene announced that Rihanna won the Viewer's Choice Award for 'What's My Name' featuring Drake, when Brown really won the honor.

PERFECT HIP HOP STORM HITS MANHATTAN COURT

Busta Rhymes, Ja Rule, Lil Wayne and Remy Ma were all at Manhattan Criminal Court yesterday, each dealing with their own separate legal drama ranging from assault to weapons possession.

In each case, the artists were simply given a new court date, according to the Associated Press.

Busta Rhymes, born Trevor Smith, was ordered to return Jan. 23 when jury selection will begin for his trial on assault and drunken driving charges. The 35-year-old is accused of kicking a fan, punching a former employee, driving drunk and driving with a suspended license.

Ja Rule, whose real name is Jeffrey Atkins, must return to court on Dec. 5 to face weapons charges stemming from a traffic stop last July. During a search of his 2004 Maybach, police found a loaded .40-caliber handgun.

Lil Wayne, 24, was ordered to reappear in court Feb. 25. The performer, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, was arrested for illegal gun possession after he performed at the same concert in Manhattan as Ja Rule. Prosecutors say police officers smelled marijuana coming from Lil Wayne's tour bus, and as they approached, he tossed aside a bag with a loaded .40-caliber handgun.

Last but not least, 26-year-old Remy Ma, born Remy Smith, was told to return Dec. 5 to face charges of assault and witness tampering. She's accused of shooting an acquaintance over money and then trying to intimidate her.
